Liquid Roof Repair

Liquid Roof forms a 100% chemically-cured seamless White membrane every bit as solid and attractive as factory-installed sheet rubber. Liquid Roof's simple one-coat application by brush or roller saves you time and money, sealing and protecting your RV from water damage.

Liquid Roof is resistant to Ozone and UV (Ultraviolet rays from the Sun). It remains flexible and durable in the temperature range of -60ºF to 300ºF. It is not harmed by freezing or snow. It resists ponding (standing water after a rain), and is not damaged by salt water, acids and alkalies.

The white color of the cured rubber reflects heat in warm weather thereby lowering the interior temperature. Liquid Roof becomes waterproof immediately upon application. Should it rain shortly after application, the appearance may be altered slightly due to rain, but this does not prevent it from fully curing when dry and above 55ºF.

It is highly recommended that you do not drive your RV until the coating is tack-free to the touch. For best results wait until fully cured, (3-7 days depending on temperature).

RV Rubber Roof Repair

Motor house and RV rubber roof repair and preservation is a necessary stair in guaranteeing the durability of your speculation. The majority of manufacturers of RVs and motor houses fix rubber (EPDM) or TPO roofs on their automobiles for the reason that they are frivolous and elastic, while a few prefer fiberglass or aluminum for the reason that they give a firm outside. The entire are smooth looking. On the other hand, rubber and TPO roofs are extra vulnerable to harm, particularly as of above your head matters such as twigs; whereas aluminum roofs are extra vulnerable to strain fractures and hollowing from corrosion. The end result is that the entire RV rubber roofs, left unattended resolve finally seep out.
Liquid Roof is best choice for repairing rv roof repair. Liquid roof has longevity and more resistance to temperature and ponding water.

Liquid Rubber EPDM

Liquid Rubber EPDM can be applied directly on many types of surfaces with solid, stable, non-porous and uniform surfaces such as flat roofs. For most surfaces, primers are not necessary. As an example, some types of surfaces that can be coated with Liquid Rubber EPDM are as below ;

- EPDM Rubber Sheets / Roofs
- Galvanize Steel Panels / Roofs
- Non-Polished Aluminum Sheets / Roofs
- Steel Plates ( Painted, Unfinished, Light Corrosion )
- Fiberglass Panels / Roofs
- Wood & Plywood ( treaded with oil based sealer )

- Non-porous / steel troweled concrete surfaces / masonry
Though, Liquid Rubber EPDM can be applied using airless spray equipment, this document deals with manual applications – recommended for surfaces of less than 20,000 sq.ft.
Besides flat and sloped surfaces Liquid Rubber EPDM has enough consistency so that it can also be applied on vertical walls / surfaces, to about 20 mils dft. or thinner per coat. The prime considerations when applying on sloping / vertical surfaces should be safety and falling hazards.

Roof Repairs - EPDM

If your roof is exposed to the weather all year round. This exposure causes your roof materials to deteriorate. In general, inorganic roofing materials tend to deteriorate less rapidly from exposure than organic roofing materials. All types of roofing materials may be damaged by wind. Excessive or in some cases even minimal debris build up are common causes of roof leaks.
The EPDM Roof Coatings has extensive ability in repairing all types of roofs, including metal roofs, concrete roofs, flat roofs, rubber roofs, builtups, modified bitumen, EPDM or Single Ply. EPDM has many features which let roof not to crack .
EPDM coatings' high resistance to wind damage has also proven to be an increasingly desirable attribute. Architects, roof consultants and contractors have come to depend on EPDM's time tested, long-term performance for roof leaks repair.

Multiple Coats of Liquid Rubber EPDM

For roofs and other non-immersion applications, one coat of 20 mils dft of Liquid Rubber EPDM is adequate, however should for some reason, you require more than 20 mils thickness, you may apply multiple coats of 20 mils dft. to build up thicker membrane and for extra protection.
For multiple coats, apply the first coat as described above and allow to partially cure after approximately 12 to 18 hours in 70 deg. F. Apply a second coat (within this 12 to 18 hour window), again, using a spreading rate of 40 sq.ft. a gallon, as applied in the first coat. On curing this will form a thicker, stronger, and more homogeneous, bond between the first and second layers.
Repeat this process for subsequent multiple coats.
You will also be able to coat over cured existing Liquid Rubber EPDM, years after the first application. Clean and dry the surface as described above under Surface Preparations. No primers are necessary when re coating over Liquid Rubber EPDM.
